Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, has extended the expiration of existing provisional permit to export iron ore, according to a document filing.

SE said in a document filing published at the nation’s official gazette, DOF, that existing provisional permits to export iron ore were extended to December 31, 2016.

SE explained it established general rules for foreign trade in December 2012, and in January 2015 granted provisional permits for the export of iron ore as a way to avoid the illegal commercialization of the product.

As the ruling lasts until December 31, 2016, the expiration of existing permits were extended to the same date.
