Mexican mining companies are ready to resume operations this or next week, according to Javier Gamez, sub-secretary of the national committee for the Mexican Workers Confederation (CTM).

Gamez said mining companies are ahead in terms of meeting health protocols and guaranteeing the safety of workers, and the industry overall is working to meet the requisites to resume operations.

The Mexican mining sector would be ready to resume operations between May 18 and May 31, Gamez said.
