Mexican industrial production up in April

Mexican industrial output in April slightly rose 0.2 percent, year-on-year, according to data released this week by the country’s statistics agency, Inegi.

According to Inegi, industrial production in April at the local civil construction and manufacturing industry segments improved 3.8 and 0.1 percent, year-on-year.

On the other hand, industrial output in the local mining sector dropped 6.2 percent in April, year-on-year, Inegi said.

Inegi said Mexican industrial production in April declined 0.4 percent, on a month-on-month basis.

Industrial production in the local mining segment in April increased 1.4 percent, month-on-month.

On the other hand, industrial output at the civil construction and manufacturing sectors in the same period dropped 0.6 and 2.3 percent, month-on-month.
