Mexican industrial production remains stable in March

Mexican industrial output in March remained stable in March with zero growth, the nation’s statistics agency (Inegi) said on Friday.

According to government data, Mexican industrial production in the local civil construction and manufacturing industry segments in March rose 0.1 percent and 3.4 percent, year-on-year, respectively.

On the other hand, industrial output in the local mining sector in March dropped 6.5 percent, year-on-year, the highest decline among four industrial segments measured by Inegi.

On a monthly analysis, industrial production in March at the local mining and civil construction segments decreased 1.5 percent and 0.7 percent, month-on-month. Meanwhile, industrial output in the local manufacturing segment in March grew 2.1 percent, month-on-month.
