Mexican industrial production declines in October

Mexican industrial production in October decreased 2.8 percent, year-on-year, and 1.1 percent, month-on-month, local statistics agency (Inegi) said on Thursday.

Inegi said industrial production in the local mining segment in October fell 2.1 percent, year-on-year, and 0.5 percent, month-on-month.

Following the same downtrend, the statistics agency said industrial output in Mexico’s civil construction sector in October dropped 8.9 percent, year-on-year, and 1.3 percent, month-on-month.

Inegi said industrial production at the local manufacturing segment in October diminished 1.2 percent, year-on-year, and 2.1 percent, month-on-month.
