Mexican industrial production declines in June

Mexican industrial output in June decreased 2.1 percent, year-on-year, but rose 1.1 percent, month-on-month, according to local statistics agency, Inegi.

Industrial production in the local mining segment in June fell 5.8 percent, year-on-year. Industrial production in the civil construction sector in June dropped 6.2 percent, year-on-year. On the other hand, industrial output for the local manufacturing industry sector in June rose 0.8 percent, year-on-year.

On a monthly basis, industrial production in the mining segment in June grew 2.5 percent, month-on-month. Following the same uptrend, industrial output improved 3.1 percent for the civil construction sector, and 0.3 percent for the manufacturing segment, both on a month-on-month basis.
