Mexican industrial output declines in May

Mexican industrial output in May declined 29.7 percent, year-on-year, and 1.8 percent, month-on-month, statistics agency Inegi said on Friday.

Industrial production in May fell in all categories both on a year-on-year and on a month-on-month basis. Industrial output in the Mexican mining segment dropped 5.8 percent, year-on-year, and 3 percent, month-on-month.

Likewise, industrial output in the local civil construction segment in May fell 35.9 percent, year-on-year, and 1.3 percent, month-on-month. Industrial production in May at the local manufacturing segment declined 35.6 percent, year-on-year, and 0.3 percent, month-on-month.
