Mexican industrial output declines in August

Mexican industrial production in August decreased 1 percent, year-on-year, according to a report from local statistics agency, Inegi. Industrial output in August improved 0.8 percent, month-on-month.

Inegi said industrial production in the local civil construction segment in August declined 2.4 percent, year-on-year. Industrial production in the local mining sector in August dropped 3.4 percent, year-on-year. On the other hand, Mexican industrial production for the manufacturing segment in August slightly grew 0.3 percent, year-on-year.

On a monthly basis, Mexican industrial production in August rose 5.2 percent, month-on-month, in the local mining segment, and 2.3 percent, month-on-month, in the local civil construction sector. Mexican industrial production in the manufacturing segment in August dropped 0.4 percent on the month-on-month analysis.
