Mexican economic activity up in February

Mexican economic activity in February rose 2.3 percent, year-on-year, according to data released by the nation’s statistics agency (Inegi) this week.

Primary and secondary activities in the second month of the year improved 8.8 and 0.7 percent, year-on-year, respectively, according to government data. Following the same uptrend, tertiary activities in February increased 2.8 percent, also on a year-on-year basis.

Mexican economic activity in February improved 0.7 percent in the month-on-month analysis. Primary activities in February dropped 0.6 percent, month-on-month. On the other hand, secondary and tertiary activities in the same period rose 0.4 and 0.7 percent, month-on-month.
