Mexican economic activity slightly declines in May

Mexican economic activity in May slightly declined by 0.3 percent, year-on-year, according to local statistics agency, Inegi. On a month-on-month basis, Mexican economic activity in May remained stable with zero growth.

Inegi said primary and tertiary activities in May rose 0.6 percent, and 1.1 percent, year-on-year, respectively. On the other hand, Mexican secondary activities in May decreased 3.1 percent, year-on-year.

Following the same trend, primary and tertiary activities in May improved 0.7 percent, and 0.8 percent, month-on-month, respectively, but secondary activities fell 2.1 percent in the same month on a month-on-month basis.
