Mexican economic activity in August rose 1.7 percent, year-on-year, according to data released on Tuesday by local statistics agency Inegi.
Primary activities in August grew 1.1 percent, year-on-year. Likewise, secondary and tertiary activities in the same period improved 0.2 and 2.5 percent, year-on-year.
On the other hand, Mexican economic activity declined 0.1 percent in August, on a month-on-month basis. Primary and secondary activities in August dropped 1.3 percent and 0.5 percent, month-on-month, while tertiary activities in the same period rose 0.4 percent, month-on-month.
