Mexican economic activity declines in October

Mexican economic activity in October declined 0.7 percent, year-on-year, local statistics agency, Inegi, said this week.

According to government data, Mexican economic activity in October dropped 0.5 percent, month-on-month.

Inegi said primary activities in October rose 9.3 percent, year-on-year, but decreased 1.6 percent, month-on-month.

On the other hand, local secondary and tertiary activities in October diminished 2.8 percent and 0.1 percent, year-on-year, respectively.

The statistics agency said secondary and tertiary activities in October fell 1.1 percent, and 0.1 percent, respectively, both on a month-on-month analysis.
