Mexican economic activity declines 4.9 percent in October

Mexican economic activity in October declined by 4.9 percent, year-over-year, said statistics agency Inegi.

According to Inegi, despite the year-over-year decline, month-over-month economic activity in October rose by 1.6 percent, from levels recorded in September.

Inegi said primary activities in October grew 7 percent, year-over-year.

On the other hand, year-over-year secondary and tertiary activities in October decreased 3.1 percent and 6.2 percent, respectively. Primary, secondary and tertiary activities in October reflected month-over-month increases of 0.8 percent, 2 percent, and 0.7 percent, respectively.
