Mexican central bank foresees weak GDP growth for the country in 2020

Mexican central bank, Banxico, has estimated a weaker GDP growth for the country in 2020, according to media reports.

Banxico reduced its Mexican GDP growth from a previous 1.1 percent growth in 2020, year-on-year, to 1 percent.

As for 2021, Banxico estimated Mexican GDP to improve 1.64 percent, year-on-year, below its former forecast for 2021 of a growth of 1.76 percent.

Banxico estimated Mexican inflation in 2020 to reach 3.5 percent and 3.52 percent in 2021.
