Mexican auto output in April slightly rose 0.3 percent, year-on-year, to 290,981 units, while domestic auto sales in the same period dropped 4.6 percent, year-on-year, to 109,265 units, according to a report from the nation’s automotive industry association (AMIA), which did not provide the usual data on auto eports in April.
As for the accumulated period of January to April, Mexican auto production reached 1.2 million units, 0.2 percent down, year-on-year, AMIA said. Domestic sales of vehicles in the four-month period declined 9.4 percent, year-on-year, to 446,494 units.
