Mexican auto production in November dropped 1.3 percent, year-on-year, to 344,928 units, local automotive industry association (AMIA) said. Mexican domestic sales of vehicles in November was 133,791 units, 5.4 percent down, year-on-year. Mexican exports of autos in November decreased 0.2 percent, year-on-year, to 289,982 units.
AMIA said Mexican auto production in the accumulated period of January to November was 3.6 million units, stable from 3.6 million units in the same period of the year prior, while domestic sales of autos in the same period reached 1.2 million units, 6.7 percent down, year-on-year. Mexican exports of autos in the January-November period was 3.1 million units, 6.3 percent up, year-on-year.
