Mechel’s rolled steel shipments by railway down 16.7% in H1

Mechel, one of the leading Russian mining and steel groups, has announced in the January-June period this year it shipped 1.56 million mt of rolled steel products by railway, down 16.7 percent compared to the same period of last year.

In the first half of this year, Mechel's rolled steel shipments to the local market decreased by 15 percent year on year to 1.2 million mt, while its export shipments declined by 22.1 percent year on year to 0.36 million mt.
