Russian mining and steel group Mechel has announced that it has signed a five-year cooperation agreement with the Russian Export Center (REC), a state-owned export development institute.
Mechel stated that the agreement sets forth focal areas of the mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at expanding exports of high-margin products produced by Mechel Group’s facilities. The Russian Export Center will provide financial and insurance assistance in advanced technology production, provide loans for Mechel’s foreign customers, and give information and consulting support in new markets and search for new foreign partners.
Meanwhile, Russia-based steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group has also announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with the Russian Export Center for the development of high-tech product exports. Accordingly, the agreement will form the basis for the development and implementation of joint initiatives to stimulate the export of high-tech products, the development of support tools, as well as the use of the opportunities of the foreign representative offices of the Russian Export Center to promote the products of the ChTPZ Group.
