Mechel acquires mining dump trucks from BelAZ

Mechel, one of the leading Russian mining and metals companies, has announced that it has acquired 15 BelAZ mining dump trucks as part of the long-term partnership agreement signed by Mechel and Belarusian manufacturer of haulage and earthmoving equipment BelAZ in November, 2011.

The new mining dump trucks will be used at the Nerungrinsk open pit and the Elga coal complex owned by Yakutugol Holding Company and at the Korshunovsk mine of Korshunov Mining Plant. The trucks will be delivered by the end of the second quarter of the current year.
