Anhui Province-based Chinese steelmaker Maanshan Iron and Steel Group (Masteel) has announced that in January its order intake for pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) products totaled 13,200 mt, exceeding the peak monthly figure of 11,400 mt recorded last year. The strong increase in Masteel's PPGI order intake for January was mainly due to the PPGI orders totaling 8,160 mt received for the export market.

In particular, in January this year Masteel received its first booking for PPGI from the CIS, for a total of 780 mt.
