Makeevsk continues to increase output
The Ukrainian steelmaker Makeevsk Metallurgical Plant (Makeevsk) increased its pig iron production by 57 percent, its crude steel production by 19.8 percent and its finished steel products output by 23.9 percent year on year in the first two months of 2007. In February alone, Makeevsk produced 141,300 metric tons of pig iron, 129,200 metric tons of crude steel and 148,400 metric tons of finished steel products.
