Makeevka stops billet and wire rod production

According to information SteelOrbis received, the Ukrainian mill Makeevka ceased production of both billets and wire rods as of two days ago. The causes of the stoppage are not for certain yet. In case this is a serious stoppage, the effect on prices of billets and wire rods could be tremendous, especially in Asia where Leman Commodities had booked substantial volumes from this mill.
