Makeevka restarts production by Transcommodities

Ukrainian steel mill Makeevka has started production again, SteelOrbis is reported. The mill had ceased production back in late July due to severe financial difficulties. Consequently the wire rod market particularly in Middle East had felt the impact of reduced supply from Ukraine. SteelOrbis understands, Transcommodities has leased the mill from its owners and provided the necessary cash injection to restart production. The news should be welcome by the buyers of wire rod as wire rod prices have been increasing lately.
