Dubai-based MADAR Steel Industries, a subsidiary of MADAR Holding, has opened its $20.4 million factory at Dubai Investment Park.

The new plant will produce 300,000 metric tons of steel per year.

The new facility, which will be among the largest factories in the Persian Gulf, will start operations next month. It aims to meet the rising demand for steel, especially given the current boom in the Gulf's construction industry.
