In the first seven months of this year, total logistics costs in China amounted to RMB 7.2 trillion ($1.05 trillion), up 8.3 percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
In particular, in the given period China’s transportation costs, storage costs and managements costs amounted to RMB 3.9 trillion ($0.57 trillion), RMB 2.5 trillion ($0.37 trillion) and RMB 0.9 trillion ($0.13 trillion) respectively, indicating respective year-on-year increases of 8.0 percent, 8.6 percent and 9.1 percent.
