In the first four months of the current year, total logistics costs in China amounted to RMB 4.3 trillion ($0.62 trillion), up 8.2 percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). In particular, in the given period China’s transportation costs amounted to RMB 2.3 trillion ($0.33 trillion), indicating a year-on-year increase of 7.5 percent, storage costs amounted to RMB 1.5 trillion ($0.22 trillion), up 9.3 percent year on year, while management costs amounted to RMB 0.5 trillion ($0.07 trillion), up 7.8 percent year on year.
