Liuzhous No.8 blast furnace operational
The successful firing of Liuzhou Steels No.8 blast furnace marked the conclusion of nearly six months of intensive overhauls by the Chinese steelmaker. At 1250 cubic meters, the RMB 310 million ($37.46 million) No.8 blast furnace is Liuzhous largest. With a designed average utilization coefficient of 2.4, the No.8 blast furnace can produce 3000 tons of pig iron daily and 1.05 million tons annually.
