Liuzhou Steel posts 74.2 percent rise in net profit for 2018

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region-based Chinese steelmaker Liuzhou Iron and Steel Co. (Liuzhou Steel) has announced that in 2018 it registered an operating revenue of RMB 47.351 billion ($7.1 billion), up 13.94 percent year on year, and a net profit of RMB 4.61 billion ($0.69 billion), rising by 74.2 percent year on year.

In 2018, Liuzhou Steel produced 12.15 million mt of pig iron, 13.08 million mt of crude steel and 7.65 million mt of finished steel, up 5.65 percent, 6.34 percent and 5.96 percent year on year, respectively.
