UK-based Liberty Steel Hartlepool has announced that it has secured contracts for more than 470 kilometres of pipe for use in offshore and onshore energy infrastructure projects in the US and Caspian Sea region. The pipes will be produced at its longitudinally submerged arc welded linepipe (LSAW) mill.

The company has started production for the unnamed clients, which is expected to last for the next 10-12 months.

Besides, Liberty Steel stated that one of the new contracts is the largest order since the business was taken over by Liberty House Group in 2017. Accordingly, the company has increased its workforce capacity in order to meet the increased demand, providing support for the local community in these uncertain times.

Commercial director at Liberty Steel Hartlepool, Martyn Curnow, said, “Once again Liberty Pipes Hartlepool has proven, despite some of the most challenging market conditions we have ever faced, that it has an ability to compete and secure prestigious project work on a global scale.”
