Lianyuan Steel to start production with blast furnace No. 3

Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Valin Lianyuan Iron and Steel Co., a subsidiary of Hunan Valin Iron and Steel Group Co., heated its blast furnace No. 3 on March 4, with the blast furnace accordingly expected to start production soon, as announced by Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC),.
 
Construction work on the 2,800 m³blast furnace No. 3 was begun by MCC subsidiary China First Metallurgical Group at the end of 2011.
