On January 16, 2008, Hunan Province-based LianYuan Steel issued new ex-factory prices for its flat products. The details are as follows:
HR:
The ex-factory price increased RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). As a result, the new price of 2.75 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 5,000/mt ($691/mt), while that of 5.5 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 4,830/mt ($667/mt).
CR:
The ex-factory prices rose RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC CRC is RMB 5,650/mt ($780/mt).
Full Hard
The ex-factory prices went up RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC Full Hard is at RMB 5,130/mt ($709/mt).
HDG
The ex-factory prices increased RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). As a result, the new price of 1.0 mm thick ST01 HDG is at RMB 5,540/mt ($765/mt).
The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of January 16, 2008.
