Kromet International to produce steel appliance handles in Mexico

Canada-based supplier to appliance manufacturers Kromet International will shortly begin to manufacture aluminum and steel appliance handles and trims in Saltillo, Mexico.

According to a press release issued by the company on Tuesday, January 5, Kromet has signed an agreement with US-based The Offshore Group for the rental of a projected 30,000-35,000 square feet (2,800-3,250 square meters) of industrial space, as well as for outsourced manufacturing support and services at La Angostura Industrial Park in Saltillo, Coahuila. Kromet initially expects to employ 35 direct labor employees.

Kromet currently operates two wholly-owned manufacturing plants in Canada. The company extrudes roll forms, and machines, fabricates and assembles aluminum and steel into a variety of structural designs to meet specific industry needs.
