According to Reuters, Tokyo-based Kobe Steel Ltd, one of the biggest steelmakers in Japan, said on Friday, October 13, that it had falsified data on some of its steel wire products.

A spokesman for Kobe Steel added that the company had confirmed with its steel-wire customers that there were no problems with the function and safety of the supplied products, Reuters reported.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, the company had found several cases of data falsification within its Aluminum & Copper Business. After a short time, Kobe Steel Ltd said cases of data falsification have been discovered within the company’s iron powder products, too.
