Kloeckner appoints Guido Kerkhoff as chairman of management board

Georgia-based producer-independent distributor of steel and metal product, Kloeckner Metals has announced that the company has appointed Guido Kerkhoff as new chairman of its management board, effective as of September 1 this year. Mr. Kerkhoff previously served as CEO of German-based steelmaker ThyssenKrupp.

He will succeed the company’s current CEO Gisbert Rühl who will resign from the position after around 11 years and continue in his role as chairman of the supervisory board.

Kerkhoff will serve as vice chairman of the management board until he takes over the position of chairman.
