The Ukrainian iron ore and steel producer Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) has announced that in March 2009 its subsidiary Khartsyzsk Pipe Works (KhPW) delivered a total of 59,580 mt of 1,067 х 15.9 mm and 1,067 х 19.1 mm Х70 pipes with internal and external anticorrosive coatings for the Central Asia-China gas pipeline project.
KhPW's total output of large diameter pipes during the third month of 2009 amounted to 59,076 metric tons - up 403.5 percent year on year, with output of large diameter pipes with anticorrosive coating for the same month reaching 58, 303 - up 611.4 percent.
During the first three months of 2009, KhPW produced 149,809 mt of large diameter pipes, with output of pipes with anticorrosive coating totaling 150,447 mt.
