Kazakhstan’s crude steel output up 17.1% in January-May

In the January-May period of the current year, Kazakhstan produced 1.584 million mt of crude steel, up 17.1 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.

Production of flat steel in Kazakhstan in the January-May period this year increased by 19.1 percent year on year to 1.041 million mt, while in the same period Kazakhstan saw its ferroalloy production rise by 2.9 percent year on year to 699,616 mt.
