Kazakhstan’s crude steel output falls by 20.4 percent in Jan-Apr

In the January-April period this year, Kazakhstan's crude steel production decreased by 20.4 percent year on year to 1.206 million mt, according to the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. However, flat steel production continued to exceed the results for the same period last year. Accordingly, in the given period Kazakhstan's flat steel output totaled 739,100 mt, up 22.8 percent year on year.

In the ferroalloys segment , in the January-April period Kazakhstan's production increased by 3.3 percent year on year to 730,400 mt, SteelOrbis has learned.
