Kazakhstan’s crude steel output down 18.4% in Jan-Aug

In the January-August period of the current year, Kazakhstan produced 2.167 million mt of crude steel, down 18.4 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.

Production of flat steel in Kazakhstan in the January-August period this year decreased by 21.4 percent year on year to 1.431 million mt.

In the first eight months of the current year, Kazakhstan saw its ferroalloy production decline by 1.6 percent year on year to 1.117 million mt.
