Kazakhstan’s crude steel output declines by 22.2 percent in Q1

According to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan, in the January-March period of the current year Kazakhstan produced 764,800 mt of crude steel, down 22.2 percent year on year.

Production of flat steel in Kazakhstan in the January-March period of this year decreased by 41.9 percent year on year to 489,800 mt.

In the first three months of 2013, Kazakhstan saw its ferroalloy production decline by 5.4 percent year on year to 399,500 mt.
