Kazakhstan issues January-November production results

According to the data released by the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency of Statistics, in the first 11 months of this year the country registered a 5.7 percent increase year on year in its crude steel production but a 2.6 percent year-on-year decrease in its production of flat rolled steel, to 3.97 million mt and 2.66 million mt respectively. Meanwhile, the country's tinplate production for the given period amounted to 183,130 mt - up 1.6 percent, and its galvanized steel output amounted to 544,880 mt - up 3.1 percent, both compared to January-November 2009
 
In January-November this year, Kazakhstan's output of ferroalloys increased by 20.3 percent year on year to about 1.59 million mt, while its iron ore pellet production went up by 34.5 percent to 7.316 million mt, both compared to the same period last year. The country's coal output during the first 11 months of this year increased by 9.25 percent year on year to about 99 million mt, while its coke output went down 0.66 percent year on year to 2.46 million mt.
