Kazakhstan issues January-November 2008 production data

According to the data released by the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency of Statistics, in the first eleven months of 2008 the country registered a 7.2 percent decrease in its crude steel production, a 17.2 percent decrease in its production of flat rolled (including a 12.2 percent decline in tinplate and a 9.9 percent drop in galvanized steel), and a 1.4 percent decrease in its ferroalloys production year on year.

The respective figures in metric tons were 4.048 million, 2.622 million (including 168,858 for tinplate and 501,470 for galvanized steel), and 1.535 million.
