JSW Steel’s crude steel output jumps 23 percent in May

On June 8, the Indian steelmaker JSW Steel Limited announced that its crude steel output in May this year increased by 23 percent year on year and was up 12 percent as compared to the previous month, rising to 565,000 metric tons.
 
Meanwhile, during the month in question, the company's flat rolled product output totaled 388,000 metric tons, increasing by 23 percent, while its long product output rose by 68 percent to 109,000 metric tons, both compared to May 2009.
