JSW Steel’s crude steel output down one percent in Q2 FY 2017-18

JSW Steel, one of the largest Indian steelmakers, produced 3.94 million mt of crude steel in the second quarter (ended September 30) of the 2017-18 financial year, showing a decrease of one percent year on year.

According to the company's statement, in the given quarter it produced 2.89 million mt of flat rolled products, increasing by one percent, while its long rolled product output totaled 770,000 mt, down two percent, both on year-on-year basis.
