JSW Steel plans to increase capacity at its Vijayanagar Works steel-making unit

According to media reports, Indian leading steel company, JSW Steel plans to increase capacity at its Vijayanagar Works steel-making unit from 12 million mt to 13 million mt annually until August 2019 and then 18 million mt by the financial year 2021-22,  the company’s Deputy Managing Director Vinod Nowal said.

It is indicated that the Vijayanagar plant’s capacity can be increased to 23-24 million mt.

Nowal also said that JSW Steel expects to increase its capacity to 44-45 million mt/year until 2030 as a part of its expansion plan.
