JISCO’s year-to-date steel output exceeds 10 million mt

Gansu Province-based Chinese steel company Jiugang Steel Group Co. (JISCO) has said that in the current year up to December 20 its overall crude steel output exceeded 10 million mt. The crude steel outputs in the given period at JISCO's three main steel production bases, Hongxing Iron & Steel Co., Yicheng Iron and Steel Co. and Yuzhong Iron and Steel Co., were 7 million mt, 2.004 million mt and 997,000 mt respectively.
 
JISCO, an important production base for carbon steel and stainless steel in the western region of China, has set a goal of being among the first 100 of China's top 500 companies by the end of China's 12th five-year plan period (2011-15). JISCO is targeting an annual crude steel output of 13 million mt by 2015.
