Jinxi Steel and Jinxi Special Steel to halt 670,800 mt of iron-smelting capacity

China Oriental Group Company Ltd has announced that its subsidiaries Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmakers Jinxi Steel and Jinxi Special Steel have been required by Tangshan municipal government to halt 670,800 mt of iron-smelting capacity during the winter season ( November 15, 2017 to March 31, 2018) amid environmental protection measures to ensure clean air conditions.

Jinxi Steel and Jinxi Special Steel have respective annual steelmaking capacities of 7.5 million mt and 2.5 million mt in Qianxi, Tangshan, Hebei Province.
