Jiangsu Yonggang Group to invest nearly RMB 6 billion in 2011-15

According to Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Jiangsu Yonggang Group, in order to help it achieve its steelmaking output target of 8 million mt, during China's 12th five-year plan period (2011-15) the group plans to invest nearly RMB 6 billion ($948 million) on many logistics projects, including ports and logistics centers.
 
Meanwhile, in January-November this year Jiangsu Yonggang Group produced 4.46 million mt of crude steel and 4.67 million mt of rolled steel products, while its sales revenue totaled RMB 28.7 billion ($4.534 billion). In the same period, its comprehensive energy consumption per metric ton of steel produced was 579 kg of standard coal equivalent, power consumption per metric ton of steel was 390 kWh, fresh water consumption per metric ton of steel was 2.8 mt, while the utilization rate of recycled water was 98.2 percent.
