According to the data released by the Japan Ship Exporters' Association (JSEA), Japanese new ship export orders in November this year increased by 169.4 percent on tonnage basis compared to October, rising to five ships, compared to three ships recorded in October, totaling 336,300 gross tons, consisting of three bulk carriers. In November last year, Japan's new ship export orders had totaled 29 ships amounting to 1.09 million gross tons.
In the first eleven months of this year, Japanese shipbuilders received new export orders for a total of 67 ships with an aggregate of 3.23 million gross tons, down 83.8 percent year on year.
On the other hand, in November this year Japan delivered 18 ships for export, totaling 1.03 million gross tons, rising from 15 ships totaling 584,122 gross tons recorded in October. In November 2015, Japan's new ship deliveries for export had totaled 10 ships with 540,153 gross tons.
Meanwhile, in the January-November period of the current year, Japan delivered 270 ships for export, totaling 11.55 million gross tons, rising by 8.7 percent year on year.
