Japan's new ship export orders fall in October from September

According to the data released by the Japan Ship Exporters' Association (JSEA), Japanese new ship export orders in October this year rose by 27.8 percent on tonnage basis compared to the previous month, decreasing to 14 ships, compared to 17 ships recorded in September, totaling 854,100 gross tons, including 10 bulk carriers,  two tankers and two general cargo ships.

In the first ten months of this year, Japanese shipbuilders received new export orders for a total of 168 ships with an aggregate of 8.07 million gross tons, up 1.5 percent year on year.

On the other hand, in October this year Japan delivered 20 ships for export, totaling 1,056,486 gross tons, compared to 13 ships totaling 1,052,257 gross tons recorded in September.

Meanwhile, in the January-October period of the current year, Japan delivered 172 ships for export, totaling 9.03 million gross tons, falling by 10.7 percent year on year.
