According to the data released by the Japan Ship Exporters' Association (JSEA), Japanese new ship export orders in November this year fell by 18.5 percent on tonnage basis compared to the previous month, increasing to 15 ships, compared to 14 ships recorded in October, totaling 680,150 gross tons, including 14 bulk carriers and a general cargo ship.
In the first 11 months of this year, Japanese shipbuilders received new export orders for a total of 171 ships with an aggregate of 8.23 million gross tons, down 13.2 percent year on year.
On the other hand, in November this year Japan delivered 20 ships for export, totaling 827,091 gross tons, compared to 33 ships totaling 1,990,921 gross tons recorded in October.
Meanwhile, in the January-November period of the current year, Japan delivered 255 ships for export, totaling 13.18 million gross tons, rising by 28.3 percent year on year.
